Dakota hails from Anchorage Alaska where he grew up since he was 5 years old.  After graduating high school he attended the local college where, in 2009 he graduated with a double major in business management and marketing.  Three months after graduating college he was working for semi-pro hockey team as a sales and marketing executive when it suddenly dawned on him that he had just wasted the last 5 years of his life attaining a degree for a job he never wanted in the first place.  Shortly after his epiphany, he happened to read about a local stand up open mic that had popped up in Anchorage and decided it was worth a shot.  The next week he showed up, gave it a shot and was surprised to find that he wasn't booed off stage.  That night, driving home,  he realized stand up was what he was meant to do.  He spent the next year practicing his stand up anywhere he could.  He helped expand the stand up comedy scene by helping to develop several new open mic venues, one of which he hosted himself at the World Famous Chilkoot Charlies.  By August 2010 he decided he had had enough of the small town life and small time opportunity and moved to Los Angeles.

Dakota can be seen regularly throughout the LA area as well as venues throughout the US.  He is a regular at the Comedy Store, Spotlight Comedy Club, and Haha Cafe as well as Comedy by the Slice at Pedones Pizza.  His conversational style of comedy combined with his many different comedic characters has allowed him to quickly make a presence in the LA comedy scene.
